Luxury East Coast Home Renovation
The splendor of this first-floor home remodel is achieved with vast-veined marble-look tiles from floor to ceiling and geometric inset accents.
Project Description
An abundance of neutral toned marble-look tiles give this Maryland home a bright maximalist style.
When you imagine what a clean, pristine home renovation looks like, you might envision this breathtaking beauty in Potomac, Maryland. An extensive first-floor demolition kicked off this project with the goal of rebuilding to industry standards for a custom, lavish look with high functionality.
Three specifics were top of mind during the design process: heated kitchen and primary bath floors,, an exquisite primary bath suite, and custom tile details such as a black ceramic tile medallion in the foyer.
While gleaming maximalism is a key note in this renovation, sustainability was also a priority for the client. The designers and contractor chose tile manufacturers that hold sustainability certifications on how they produce tile. Additionally, sustainable practices during installation included up to 42% reuse of water and car pooling of work crews.
Why Tile®?
Polished vast-veined, marble-look walls and floors make up over 2,600 square feet of large-format polished porcelain tile in the primary bath alone.
Additional bathroom and shower details include a shower bench made of gray fluted porcelain tile with miters on all sides and a custom jacuzzi deck integrated with custom lighting..
More neutral marble-look porcelain tiles dazzle in other rooms: the formal dining room, wine room, foyer, kitchen, hallways, and even walk-in closets. You’ll also find black tile inlays within white marble-look floors in the dining room and primary suite.
The goal for the layout of the renovation was for the entire design to flow, as well as set up staging for the job so that other tradesmen could continue their work seamlessly. A combination of traditional techniques and new laser technology were employed to ensure lines were square, plumb, and flat.
Prime products and skilled craftsmanship ensured this one-of-a-kind project looks incredible and is functional for decades to come.
