Up next on our trends countdown to Coverings 2024 are gauged porcelain tile panels/slabs, often referred to as “porcelain panels.” or “porcelain slabs,” these extra-large format tiles have the ability to make a big statement in any space.
Porcelain panels are offered in a vast range of designs — from giant gemstones, to concrete, to wallpaper looks — options befitting any aesthetic. Recently, the advancement of full-body or through-body panels (where the surface design runs throughout the “full body” of the tile) has made these XXL tiles particularly popular for countertop applications. As with all ceramic tile, panels have the desirable qualities of heat, stain, and scratch resistance, as well as being sustainable and free of toxic chemicals.
