First up is an adaptation of a long-time favorite: hexagon tile.
Monochromatic Large Hexagon Tile
Monochromatic designs let the playful honeycomb shape of large hexagon tile do the talking.
This bathroom design is essentially the opposite of vintage tiny white hexagon tiles with black grout. Here we have large black hexagon tiles with white grout. And though we can’t help but love the look of retro white hexagon mosaics, the impact of this more contemporary adaptation is undeniable.

Multicolor Large Hexagon Tile
Can’t choose just one color? Don’t!
Multicolor tile is a great way to make a fun tile design even more playful. While you may opt to arrange different colors in a pattern, the two examples above arrange the colors randomly for a more organic look.
Patterned Large Hexagon Tile
@ragnotile_usa couldn’t have put it better: “The popular hexagon shape plus eclectic patterns make for a backsplash that takes center stage.”
Marble-Look Large Hexagon Tile
We can’t think of any better idea than to pair everyone’s favorite tile shape with everyone’s favorite tile look. (Hint: It’s marble-look tile.)
As the bathroom above showcases, marble-look tile and hexagons are a gorgeous pairing. While small hexagon tiles wouldn’t provide much space to show off the veining patterns, that’s not a problem with these larger hex tiles.

Large Hexagon Tile With Other Shapes
Triangle, diamond, and trapezoid shapes are just asking to be combined into hexagons. While that appears to be the case with this flooring, these hexagon tiles actually have the different shapes printed onto them in different colors, making the flooring even more fun.

Irregular Large Hexagon Tile
Another way to use hexagon tile is to choose a modified hexagon shape. This cafe wall features irregular hexagon tiles in three colors, and the elongated shape of the tiles creates a sense of upward movement that draws attention to the high ceilings.
These six creative uses of large hexagon tile are just the beginning. We can’t wait to see even more large hex tile designs pop up as this trend continues to grow in popularity.
